Remember that Friday night high school standard, the Sock-Hop? Well, get out your poodle-skirts and blue jeans, because we are going to have the biggest, best party of the year! The 2010 Quechua Benefit Sock Hop sponsored by Pamela Ray of Xanadu Farm Alpacas features free hors d’oeuvres, a no host bar, free admission, a live auction, a silent auction and a hot band.
The Party
The party will be Friday night, featuring the Midwest’s top classic 50’s band, Mike Black and the Stingrays. Couples are encouraged to dress the part, have your pictures taken, and compete in our best-dressed couple contest. (Winners will be determined by vote of all sock-hop attendees.) All couples receive a complimentary copy of their photo, and the winners receive a commemorative trophy and song selection of their choice.
Fabulous Auction Items
The list of auction items includes such things as an Alaskan fishing vacation, high fashion garments, a Quechua jewelry ensemble designed especially for the auction by Susan Gray, breedings to nationally acclaimed herd sires: Jeremiah, Archangel, Kahuna, and Polaris and much, much more.
Party for a Good Cause -- Quechua Benefit
All of the proceeds will be used to support the people of Peru: The source of our alpacas here at home. Be there or be square!
Be sure to visit the Quechua Benefit booth sponsored by Amy and Arlin McCroskie of A&A Alpacas. We will be located on the main thru fare
near the concessions for all three days of the event. Stop by, rest your feet, and learn about Casa Chapi and the rest of the Quechua Benefit activities in Peru.
