We had high hopes for this guy and Arcturus has not disappointed. He is sturdy, solid, and straight, with soft, fine, dark fawn fleece . . . and lots of it! One would expect no less with a sire like Legacy Gold, who is dense, dense, dense! Arcturus sports fabulous coverage and excellent density. In addition, he is an easy-going fellow, who gets on well with his pasture-mates. He has highly enviable conformation and pedigree, and we would like to retain four breedings to him upon sale.
Arcturus took a 1st place at the NECC (Fall '09), with the judge commenting on his exceptional head style, nice coverage, and the uniformity, fineness, and density of his fleece. Arcturus also took a 3rd place out of a competitive class of nine at the Big E this fall (2009). Calling him a "beautiful, solid guy," the judge also noted that Arcturus has "excellent character, fineness, and density" and commented on the lack of primaries in his fleece.
