Heart & Soul Ranch is located in the heart of the big sky country in Silver Star, Montana.

Honesty and Integrity are at the heart of our business. We offer only products and animals that we are proud to carry our name.

We have been in the alpaca business since 2002 and have worked diligently to pick our breeding stock from only the top genetic lines coming from all over the United States. We raise both Suri & Huacaya alpacas.

Our Huacaya focus and passion is impeccable fiber in gray. We have worked hard since 2007 in Achieving Grayteness in gray! Our Suri focus and passion is fineness, handle and luster in light colors in order to be able to dye our unique suri fabric. Our goal is that with each generation we are improving in the traits we breed for, solid conformation, soft handling uniform fiber and lasting fineness. We put our Heart & Soul into this lifestyle we call amazing!

We love what we do and love to share it with others. Mentoring new breeders is something we are very passionate about as we believe getting the right start makes a huge difference. The measure of our success is in the success of our clients and we do everything we can to make that happen.

We fell in love with the living art that is the Suri alpaca, and today we share a farm with over 100 Suris in Concordia, Missouri. We are surrounded by the grace and beauty of Suri alpacas. We make breeding decisions carefully, using top stud males and females who have the characteristics to continue improvement of the Suri breed. We don’t want to just breed. We want to improve. Every year. We gather data from a variety of sources to help us make breeding decisions.

  • Each year we have fiber samples analyzed from our animals to determine fineness, consistency, and comfort factor.
  • We have our herd classified in the Suri Herd Improvement Program (SHIP) every three years or so and use information from that classification to identify strengths and weaknesses of each animal.
  • We participate in the Alpaca Owners Association EPD program, so are able to see how our animals rank amid others in the country in various fiber characteristics.
  • Finally, we show our animals at alpaca shows to see how they stack up to other high-quality alpacas and get feedback from alpaca judges.

We breed and sell animals, both to those who already have alpacas and to those who are just starting out on their alpaca journey. We specialize is helping new farms start up. We provide education to introduce newcomers to alpacas, consult in farm set-up and herd management activities. We work with prospective owners to define their goals, select alpacas to match their goals, and then provide ongoing consulting and mentoring.

While breeding and selling animals is our primary focus, we also provide a variety of agritourism services, including tours, bringing alpacas to weddings and other events, and special appearances at nursing homes, senior centers, and schools. We sell manure, both composted and raw, to farmers and gardeners in our area as well.

Happy Hounds Alpaca Ranch is located in beautiful Central Oregon surrounded by numerous mountain peaks and vast irrigated hay fields. Owned and operated by Laurie McCallum and Dillon Hoffman, H2R was started in 2010 on a small ranch in eastern Colorado. We quickly outgrew this property and decided an upgrade was in order. In 2013 we made the move to a sprawling 480-acre property in Sisters, Oregon that includes 360 acres of irrigated hay/pasture ground.

Our goal from the beginning was to acquire an elite group of top-quality dams and breed those to the best herdsires we could find that exemplify incredible phenotype while pairing impressive fleece qualities. We also focus on providing the highest quality nutrition possible in order to grow big, happy, healthy alpacas, all while maintaining these excellent fiber traits. Our herd has grown to slightly more than 100 alpacas, and we welcome you to visit and discuss how our breeding philosophy and animal husbandry has created excellence across our entire herd.

Halo Ranch Alpacas is located at the end of the Oregon Trail in the beautiful Oregon City countryside. Since its inception in 2012, our mission has been to produce the highest quality suri alpacas in the United States. The ranch is managed by Zach Hackett and his wife Jessica, who has over 13 years of experience working with some of the largest alpaca farms in the country. Her experience has been vital in our maturation as an alpaca farm, and we continue to improve the quality of our herd year after year. We were able to acquire one of the most prestigious alpaca herds in the United States — Great Lakes Ranch. This addition doubled our herd size and we jumped light years ahead of our breeding goals. We’ve been fortunate enough to win the Futurity Breeder of the Year for medium size farms for the last three years. Not only do we strive to be competitive in the show ring, but we also endeavor to use every available resource the alpacas give us. On a daily basis we collect manure, compost it, and then use it not only on our own farm, but sell it as fertilizer to various agricultural companies as well. We also harvest and process our fiber to turn into yarn, fabric and hypoallergenic clothing items. We take pride in and look forward to assisting new and experienced alpaca farmers achieve their breeding goals, and are excited about the future of the alpaca industry. Please let us know if you have any questions.

We’d love to hear from you! www.haloalpacas.com.

Hello Alpaca Enthusiasts! We’ve been involved in the alpaca industry for the past 26 years. Our 107 acre ranch, located near Culver, OR, is approximately an easy 2 hour drive from Portland. If you have an opportunity to visit our ranch, you’ll have the pleasure of viewing over 900 huacayas grazing in our lush irrigated pastures. They are an accumulation of the most proven quality genetics gathered up across the U.S and Canada. Our objective is to produce alpacas with high fleece weights with low micron in solid color. The majority of our herd consists of Accoyo/Peruvian bloodlines. We believe in maintaining strong hybrid vigor while at the same time ensuring we’re breeding for excellent conformation and type. We also want to maintain the following critically important reproductive traits; an abundance of milk, easy to rebreed, quiet gentle personality. We refuse to breed genetic traits into our herd that compromise these goals. All our bred females are sold confirmed pregnant by ultrasound and with live birth guarantees. On package deals we offer discounts, reasonable finance terms, and if possible, we transport your new alpacas to your farm.

We love the alpaca business and all the great people we’ve had the good fortune to meet. We invite you to explore our website or better yet, please come and visit us at our ranch.
